Cadran solaire...Sundial

The Halles area in Paris is sometimes suprising. At the first look, this "statue" is looking as a finger does not look like something known. Except if you adjust your look : it's a sundial.
Morality : When something surprises you, have a second look to consider it under another point of view !

Vach-art...Cow art part 1

A very good idea from two association against Aids and hunger in Africa ( better than the new Chirac tax on airlines ticket ! ).
A lot of artists and sponsor have installed almost 97 cow in Paris to form the "Cow parade". After the show they will be sell by auction on 30th of June. So if you want learn more about it just click here :

Paris 1900 ?...Paris in 1900 ?

It's not Paris in 1900's. It's just the passage "DENFER" where the poet Arthur Rimbaud and the painter Foujita lived.
The word DENFER ( literally means Hell ) is probably due to a legend. In fact, long time ago and not far from this place a convent was occupied by the Devil !

Fondation Cartier...Cartier foundation

The Cartier foundation for contemporary art has been created on 1984 and based on an idea of famous sculptor called Cesar ( the same who makes the trophy for french cinema awards ).
I did not visit this place but if you want to do a short visit just click on the link :

Je suis de retour...I'm back !

Almost one month that I have not update my ( our ) blog.
Maybe it's due to the very bad weather on Paris during all May month : rain, storm, clouds, a very bad cocktail for the daylight.
This picture ( studio is open ) is like a wink, and just to inform you that I retstart with my camera to find new images of Paris.
By the way, this blog is one year old...Happy Birthday !

Peinture...Painting

If you walk in Paris, sometimes you are lucky to discover an apartment open on the street where a painter works.
So don't hesitate...go inside
